The New 2010 Chevrolet Corvette C6

The vehicle is built originally in St. Louis, Missouri and in Flint, Michigan and at present the model is built in Bowling Green, Kentucky, which is an assembling plant for General Motors. The vehicle falls under the class of Sports car with the body style of 2-door Coupe. So let's see what has the 2010 Corvette C6 got to offer!
The model Corvette from Chevrolet is a sports car produced form the year 1953 in six generations. The vehicles produced till now include from the series C1 to C6, where the C1 being the starting model and the C6 as the current model. The model cars from Chevrolet won the awards from the magazines like Motor Trend and Driver and Car and from the firms like Automotive Engineers Society.
The Corvette C6 car from the Chevrolet group is the sixth generation sports vehicle, released in the year 2005. It is the first vehicle to include head lamps exposed since the generation of C1, which was under production till 1962.
Among the several packages produced by the other companies, the C6 and the ZR- 1 are the most dominant productions from Chevrolet to date. As stated by the Motor Trend Magazine, the model C6 will not be followed with the C7 until the calendar year 2012.
When compared with the fifth generation model C5, C6 is modified with the new body work exposed with head lamps, more passenger compartment, 6.0L engine and with the higher level of redefining. The C6 is shorter by 5.1 inches when compared with the C5 model and has the wheel base increment by 3 centimeters. The engine generates 298 Kilo Watts at the speed of 6000 rotations per minute and torque of 400 lb- ft at the speed of 4400 rotations per minute.

The model C6 R was released in order to replace the C5- R model, which was built by Miller and Pratt. It was released in the year 2005 and stood in second and third in class next to Aston Martin race car. Corvette C6- R won the GT1 championship of American Le Mans and won the 12 hours Sebring in GT1 class.
The engine LS7 R is the heart of the model C6 as it was awarded with the Global Motor Sport Engine competing 50 race engines. The contest was held in Cologne, Germany at the Motor sport World Expo in the year 2006.
The roof, fenders, rocker moldings and the hood are made with the Carbon fiber and the fenders and hood are painted. The vehicle is provided with the Carbon ceramic brakes.
